the bike was a ebay bargin from lowestoft,not nice to look at,lots of purple and gold, there is not much left of that bike now
first job was deciding on the parts as i didnt wont the usuall tyga job,not that i am against them i just wanted to be diffrent,i chose the mv seat as the shape was ok and i liked the hinged front 916 seat pad
the swingarm was 1000 exup i had 2 or 3 diffrent setups,the 400 exup arm fitted perfect but was too short 50mm so it was the 1000 which was 25mm too wide at the pivot,i removed the left side jigged it up ,machined a new linkage pivot and welded it back togeather.
the subframe was fabbed from 16mm and 19mm thin wall titanium tube small and light as possible 400g

the exhaust wasnt a bad job,once the seat was in place i bent a piece of wire to the shape i wanted,worked out the degrees and amount of sections,and started piecing it togeather,the time consuming part is cutting and preparing the sections,the ti tube is only 0.9mm so all the cuts have to be perfect
the front pipes were made the same (jigsaw pieces) i had trouble finding the right size tube so i had to get a some specially made (more time wasted)
i had to make some new press tooling to press the end caps to the size and shape i wanted,and some tooling to press the rear hanging bracket for the can the same as the hrc one

Nice work! I'm doing just the same stuff right now, only I'm using stainless 304 1mm tubing, and it's not an underseat exhaust, but a more traditionally left side can piece. Quite tiring TIG work, wouldn't you say?

Tig is tiering on the concentration side when you are welding thin guage with low amps,your work is top quality Lasse so you should have no problems with it,keep us posted.

Great work and love the look of the bike.
Do you have a contact for thin 304 grade tube? im after some 1.5" and 2" in 0.9mm wall for a pipe i'd like to rebuild.
Have you ever used the stuff that you can melt into a tube at 60deg, it then sets and allows the tube to be bent without mandrell tooling?

hi,i do have a supplier for thin wall tube but you would have to buy a 6mtr length,as for bending with the ressin i would say no,i still pack them with sand and use heat but you need a thicker wall 1.2-1.5mm if you need any advice pm me.

I knew i had seen this some where before, where you at Barton bike night earlier in the year? if so i spent ages looking round this work of art! Must say that pics are great but it is absolutely amazing in the flesh.
