Re: V4Chris's Bike
Thanks for the compliments I'm not a trained website designer, just picked it up as I went along, like a lot of things. My advice is to always start simple, learn the basics of html and then add other things where you need. Don't try anything fancy to start with and expect it to work :)Paul&Jax wrote:awesome looking bike mate, and great website went through the whole site! are you a website designer? would like to try one myself so any advice would be appreciated.
It is expensive, the fabric and resin being the biggest factors, but then there are also lots of extra costs associated with the production such as tools and other materials.nampus wrote:You have serious skills!!! The carbon is amazing!
The way you explain how you do it makes it sound so easy. Is it expensive to make stuff out of carbon yourself? The resin and the carbon itself, the release wax and stuff like that?
Could you give an estimate on how much it would cost to get the materials to make something like a front fender?
Nampus
To make one front fender (i.e. buy materials, buy tools, make mould, vacuum bag setup {optional}, finishing, etc) will probably cost a lotmore than buying one in a shop.
Seat is now finished, just need some new tyres, exhaust and MOT and I'm away.....
