The saga of No9 is still ongoing....this is just the groundwork so you lot can understand how my bike and I are such mates and why I am a saddo on here..lol

After the crash..new riding skills needed.

I booked a TD in November at Cadwell Park. It was foggy and cold when I rode there. I have no pictures, no footage and cannot really remember it too well apart from it was wet and cold.

I was also thoroughly addicted and this was the start of a slippery slope indeed!!

As it happens..after my crash on the bike and my burgeoning lloydness on the original 400greybike forum I have decided to take my new found skills out on a trackday.

In between I went to a mobile dyno day.

Image

It says 60.9. Hmm..std carbs and a chopped off can with ART can,

I mentioned my first TD..it was..non descript (in a literal sense) but it did sow the seed of trackriding in my head.

Before my next one...I managed to get an RS250 shock and sorted that out with a service and additional rebound shim from Mick Gardner racing. I was also made famous for 15 minutes as I was on the Radio 1 "Scott Mills" show. They used to do a session where they would phone your boss and get you the time off work. I was sorted with that and my boss said I did fuck all anyway..so I got some time off to go to my in laws and fit my RS250 shock (it took me about 4 hrs..lol)

Anyways..the moto was getting fettled. It deserved it. I was inspired by RichoneNZ, EddieHRCrider and also the usual UK suspects on the forum. *for you new guys..the forum was always a nice place, but seemed, in some ways, to be a technical hive of activity.

There was also an opportunity to buy a Yamamoto system. £50 on ebay. My first proper system.

So, come February, I booked another TD, again at Cadwell. This time, a mate of mine (we call him Jimmy Funster or Tin'ead, you CUNT

He had an SV650 at that time..
(styling at the pub in Glossop)

I did have some pics of our setting off - it was a funny session really. We rode over to Cadwell, it was fucking freezing and as we passed Hemswell Cliff our friend Tin'ead got a speeding flash and a 3pts/£60 jobbie...and I got feck all. Bonus!!

Apart from that, I have these pics for you to all indulge it and see my awesome, shite, novice style!!

Image

I do like this pic (and have a printed one next to the pic I have of my first ACU test)
Image

You have to say that the bike looks fucking cool eh?? 5yrs ago and representing a pukka livery and one of the original suzuka style fairings..

I love my bike.

So..No9..he became a crashed road bike and tranformed into a wannabe 400cc trackbike.

Then he had an upgraded Yamamoto, an RS250 shock, a 15/43 gearing and was blooded on 2 Cadwell trackdays - on which I was slow (but nailed Jimmy Funster on his SV big time..yeah!! )

This was all in the heady times of 2005/2006!!

You see people...it was all done before. :rocks:

More to follow....this blag now is only 2006..the saga of No9 and the CMSMJ1 relationship with it and 400GB will be made clearer..

2006..well...more TD and some more fettling innit!! :ugeek:

Righty ho..

So, we rolled on the old NC. I was getting properly addicted to trackdays and I think I did probably 15 of the suckers in 2006

I did Silverstone, Croft, Cadwell

Croft

Cadwell (a few times)

I murdered some BT92s at Cadwell...

Silverstone (later in the year...new seat unit for TDs - and no lowers as mine had destroyed themselves on a road ride) Also, note the Coerce rearsets and the tyga carbon nose.

I broke my first Yamamoto

I fitted an HRC tray and no lid..with skinny filter

I got another Yamamoto...

We had a 400Greybike Cadwell Park meeting/trackday. It was the best we've had.

Members came from Cornwall, London and everywhere. We camped and had a few beers and then nailed the trackday. There must have been 20+ members and they had their friends, Great times...

NGneer stuck some stickers on everything...

The old forum has his build thread..it is a good read.

Yeah I remember the Trackday - I couldn't make it but some of the other Cornish Lads did.

The Nastro Azzuro rep is Tristan and I think he still has the bike but now lives in Plymouth.

The NC30 with No. 81 on is Billy, from Penzance, He is also my Sprayer (Bodyworks) and did a couple of bikes including the Stobart rep. He'd only just picked that NC30 up a week or so before!! Now rides a streetfightered GSXR 750 slingshot.

The RVF with white fairings and red decals, is Ant, Also from Penzance, he has since sold his bike and had a supermoto and R6 for a while.

Hopefully we (the 400GB forum) can do another trackday like this sometime?!
