I'm going to race it at some point which is why I've spent so long and so much, acquiring the right bits to put on it. After going with a mate to Scarborough this weekend just past I've got the urge to race there. The thing is the NC isn't a priority. I have so many other things that come before it hence why it's taking so long to complete but that doesn't mean I'm prepared to skimp on the spec of it just to get it finished. It could of been done 2 years ago if I wanted just a track hack, but if thats what I had wanted I could of bought one off ebay for a grand. I've spent nearly double that thus far and thats not including the £600 I paid for the bike.

Basically yes I am prepared to pay someone to put the thing back together for me. I'm not that mechanically minded, definitely not enough to trust myself to put a bike back together that I'm going to ride flat out. I don't have the space, tools, know how or time to do it myself. If I get a van in a couple of months like I planned, then I can take it to someone further afield. I've already asked Banoffee but he is a fair way away unfortunatley.

Generator. Do I want a modded GSXR one or BDK?

Radiators. Larger, reproduced standard ones (by geoff 33 or similar) or stick with stock? They have a few bent fins and look tatty but on the whole they're useable. The bike is destined for life solely on track.

Rear subframe. I've modified the stock one and like the fact it retains the original undertray (which I've trimmed down) but am aware an SES/Rick Oliver one would save a lot of weight. Can these race rear subframes be fitted with the original undertray?
Does anyone have the answers lol?

If you are going racing - then no genny.

Rads - clean rads...don't need fancy unless you have lots more power and heat

Dunno about the rear end.

Get it sorted, do some racing, see if you want to get involved in the money spending too, or just sort it out.

What facilities have you got? My in laws live in Misterton...could possibly drive over, drop the wife off and come help you out for a few hours. What state is it in now?.

Cheers for the offer Mark. I was just interested in opinions on the parts on this occasion. A mate is helping me finish it off. It SHOULD be finished early next year as looking at running it at Scarborough and maybe the ManxGP.

Really find total loss a hassle so want to keep the charging system. For the same reason, I'm quite prepared to keep the heavier standard rear subframe if it means being able to keep some sort of undertray in place.

I know a good route from Sheff over this way if you're ever out this way on bike. In fact Misterton is on one of my favourite roads in the whole world.

Alloy subframe is a good upgrade to lose some weight depending on your budget. I'm sure the stock undertray could be made to fit (with a dremel) it it didn't fit straight up, just drill some holes in it and fasten it to the subframe with cable ties.

No it's still not finished, it's still sat in pieces in my dads garage waiting for me to get around to finishing it off or at least getting somone else to to. Oh and before I'm inundated with pm's asking to buy parts from it or the whole project, I'm not interested in selling.

Anyway earlier on I was wasting time watching Youtube videos instead of working when I had the idea of seeing if anyone had put the episode of Road Wars on Youtube of the bike being confiscated by Thames Valley Police and sure enough they have. My bike and the reason behind how I got hold of it features just after the 29 minute mark.

Whilst watching the clip I noted the previous owners name, so did a Google search, which brought up some interesting information. The guy is in prison for murder, he killed his drug dealer with a crossbow!
