Re: RVF Endurance AM-PM Replica build
Sorry Dude. I got as far as finalising the front but couldn't for the life of me work out to do the rear face so I kind of gave up until I knew you were about again so I could ask you.Speedy wrote:Hey, hey!
Any update on the Tacho? Martin was working on it, but I don't know how he's getting on with it.
Are we still on for the proper faces of it?
Too spensiff!!!

Yakama, you jammy git!
Martin, the rear face is to be printed on the reverse side of the same paper used, after you print the front.
You might have to adjust the position of the rear face, so it lines up perfectly with the front; test print before using the good paper and high quality printing settings on your printer.
1- Print the front face (use your printer's guiding tab to keep the paper straight and to one end)
2- Turn the paper over and place it back in your printer (to print on the reverse side obviously!)
3- Hide the front face (Eye icons in Layers) so only the rear face is visible in AI, as that's what it'll print
4- Print the reverse face (you should then have the front face on one side of the paper and the reverse face on the other side; hopefully lined up)
5- Raise the paper up to light, to see if boths faces are lined up
5.5- If they're not lined up, move one face only either left or right a fraction; vertical position should be correct out of the printer, (X for horizontal movement & Y for vertical; you find the movement window in: Window - Transform); tiny movements can be made using that , instead of using the right & left arrows on the keyboard or dragging the files!
6- Once you've reposition the face, print another test page in the exact same way as before.
Hope that's clear enough!

Result! It really does look good Tony and it's nice to see, from my point of view, that your mids don't meet the nose cone properly either. I thought it was just mine. Did the tray arrive in one piece?

I don't think it looks bad at all but if it bugs you it bugs you.
I'm pissed off about the airtray though. Whats the point of booking and paying for a next day delivery service with a courier if they aren't gonna do it? According to them it will be with you today chum.
