Just come back from a huge weekend at castle combe, came away with a 1st and 3rd in the qualifiers and a dnf (snapped throttle cable) and a win in the finals .
I was only 0.8 off the lap record too!!

Also was out on a sponsors 1000cc fireblade and finished 24/33 , this was my first time ever riding a 1000 and my first time ever on the bike so not baaad

Hiya Ben
Looks like your really on the pace with ZXR.
I run an NC29 with Ramair and was wondering if you have the Ramair system fitted and if you do, do you experience any problems with crud getting in your carbs? I have a HRC filter with the paper cut out so theres just a metal mesh above the inlet trumpets. This is as per the GF Racing instructions. Think its the same setup for the ZXR. I'm finding that after a days racing (practice and 4 races) the bike seems to run worse and worse. Cleaning the air box at the end of the day and it has a lot of dust and some larger bits of snot in there! The pilot jets also appear a little clogged which explains the rough running. Bit of a pain. I don't really want to run an 'uncut' filter as this will kill the power but need the thing to run reliably all day. Have you had any issues like this?

ive recently bought some ramair brand race foam filter and cut it to fit in the ram aim inlet as i had the same issue with the airbox getting very dirty, i run a thick mesh too above it, i havent noticed and performance loss and the airbox is kept really clean

Only just seen your reply, thanks.
I asked around and ended up putting some cut up tights from the wife (not happy!) across the air intake and smearing some grease in the top of the air box to catch any bits that get through the tights. Not tried it yet but out on Saturday so see how it goes.
Might have to try some of the ramair foam, I'm guessing someone like GF Racing supplies it?
