I can do wheelies over the mountain, shortly followed by a cartwheel and arse slide :)

I did a shock service course yesterday and naturally took one of my own shocks to work on so my ohlins is now fully serviced with all new seals and bushes, also found out it was originally from a RC30 and not a modified early blade unit as i thought so also learnt a bit about changing shim stacks as it was still valved for the RC.

What did you think of the course?
Gareth does all the suspension work to all my bikes past and present and heard he was doing these courses.

If I'd have known you were so close to me I would have dragged all my reverse cylinder out for you to make a bid on! ;)

I'm jealous. I'd love to take a shock service course.

I have an extra RC30 Ohlins rear shock. Nice to know I can shim it to make it work with an NC.

Does your Ohlins raise the rear ride hight? What tools do you need to do that?

You probably wont need to re-shim it if your using a stock linkage as the RC's spring is only a tad heavier than the stock NC spring, my bike has a HRC rep linkage so needed to be re-shimed as i run a much softer spring.

Shock is height adjustable so yes it can raise the height if you want. As for tools,

Small needle tool to release the gas
Valve to refill it
Pin spanners
Spring compressor
Some nitrogen ideally but compressed air will do

Think thats about for special tools

Tony, did you rebuild the 675 calipers? If so, what seal kit or both piston and seal kit did you use and where to get?
A genuine piston kit is just bloody pricey from Sir Triumph, i'm :o
