Ok I hope I answer your question correctly, this pipe wasn't standard on any bike which I know of, though the series I used was specifically made for the 400's. My friend also rebuilds and repairs bikes and he had the system lying around at his place so I made him a deal for it.

If it has mild steel downpipes with 2 balance 'cylinders', it will be from a 73a sp. It's a great exhaust if you can keep up with the rust. great power everywhere, even when bike is tuned.

Hai, Mofo, the downpipes are still the original 76a pipes, I cut the old can off and fixed the yoshi on it like slip on exhaust would be fixed on.

So after some careful consideration I decided to change my tank and polished it all up, so here is the end result 100% complete.

I am wondering what you used to get a decent edge between the two paint colours. You must have used a decent masking tape. Did you leave the paint to dry before peeling it off, or do you peel the tape away whilst still tacky? I have been looking at the paint edge on my tank and it is like a razor blade cut it. I am just wanting to find out at what point the masking tape is removed to leave the cleanest edge.

Hi there! I don't use masking tape for edging as it let's the paint through in litle botches, I use a pinstripe tape which is like insulation tape but cos it's thin it's flexible for stretching on curves. I pull the tape off about 5min or so after painting, but be real careful as it's still wet, pull off at a 45degree angle, also to get it real smooth you must not apply your paint thick, if you using a non metallic paint you can wet sand the edges carefully for a even smoother finish, but ofcors then the paint must be dry.
