Done 2 more mods today :D

I started by fitting Carbone Lorraine Sintered SBK5+ Super-Sport Brake Pads to the R1, there supposed to kick ass.

Second mod I did was to the 400RR, I got rid of the hidden, nasty, corroded rear brake fluid reservoir in place of an HRC Rear Brake - Race Reservoir for that MotoGP look, looks trick as fook, saves a bit of weight, and I can see at a glance me fluid level without having to remove the entire rear seat unit.

It all went on ever so easy, probably easiest mod I have ever done, and the rear brake bled in about 5 mins flat, just getting clear line after line of brake fluid and the rear brake is sharp as fook.

Next mod will be the HRC rad expansion bottle to further tidy up the bike and bring it up to date :D

How much did you pay for that? i just use clear hose and a bar end plug

It was about 18 quid off evilbay from a road race team in ireland, proper authentic HRC parts though :D

I was thinking of that - didn't know if normal clear pipe I use at work would gt eaten by brake fluid. You had any problems?

only thing that happens is the hose gets hard after a while then your replace

They aare not a waterproof item, and as such the nature of brake fluid being hydroscopic allow water to be readily absorbed into them.

I used to use them on my RVF, but I could easily boil the rear brake system on road and track as I use the bike in all weather conditions and got fed up with it.

I prefer the mini Brembo unit I use as it is sealed against the elements, and its Brembo :D

No in all seriousness it does. I ride occasionally with some proffesional TT racers and a guy who owns a trackday company and his racers, and He taught me on track to either be full throttle, or hardest on the anchors they can be, no middle grounds. So on the track its fairly easy to boil it if there is water in the system.

I carried this idea over to the road on a serious blast can boil the back brake. This technique also lends its self to my legendary triangulated pofile tyres, from when the bike is either up right, or on its ear. The rear is always nice and round though :)

I however am desperately trying to smooth this out

Correct if your using dot 5 it attracts water and needs replaced more often...
