Progress report;

Motor finally on the bench being built by Mark`skinny`White of PB fame. About time too i tell ya!



Sp box;

Motor is now built(short motor) barrels/piston`s tomorrow....





Basic spec has changed a little due to money/circumstances. Now running the standard crank/clutch,stock barrels new rings/sp box/sv650 manual cam chain adjuster(ape) new valve seats standard valves and a little cleaning/tidying of the ports,Inlets matched throughout and of course the vm`s....
More pics info tomorrow when work continues............

Cases together now(look`s good too) also pistons/barrel on as well but forgot to take pic so next post...
True to form i`m short of some part`s but i`m sure they will turn up when i turn the workshop upside down!

Looking really nice, wish i could afford to do a proper rebuilt like that, new shells ect, nice :)
excited to see the end product of this referb.

Progress........
Head finally complete after sourcing new inlets from Japan(how expensive!) due to not having a complete set that where any good in my now vast collection.All spacer`s(due to flatslides) and inlet rubbers matched/numbered and some head work by Mark.General tidying up of cast marks etc and a little extra on the exhaust side.

Progress report so far.....
Motor completed tonight (about an hour ago!) and ready to install,only a few thing`s left to do like sorting all the stainless bolt`s for the cases/sump etc but should only take about an hour or so tomorrow and then fit it into the frame at last.....................





Of course everything want`s wiping down and re polishing but i dont mind i`m just glad i`ve got the thing back.....

Further progress.....
Put the motor back in this morning and this has thrown up one or two problems,chiefly the clearance between the radiator and front pipes due to their size. Nothing that can`t be sorted though.......






Starting to look like a bike for a change,more as and when.......

Mmmmmmmm,
Upon realizing that neutral should not live between third and fourth and my comment of `it will have to be stripped again` ,this is the response i received from my `mate` Mark.......


On the plus side the exhaust is finished,tyre`s are fitted (rosso supercorsa`s) and the wiring will be done soon(another mate,got lots of em!).

Not quite as happy as normal,

First run,some problems but hey i didnt expect everything to go smoothly.......
System and can are as loud as f*ck so will be interesting trying to meet the noise limit on the first track-day it attends,still load`s to do(or it seems that way) all small annoying stuff but i can see the light at the end of the tunnel now..............
