Battery issue
Hi everyone have a bit of a issue with my bike yet again . I come tomy bike to go to work in the mornings starts no issue at all but when it’s up to temp and I turn it off it’s like the battery has gone flat the starter is really lazy. Leave it a few mins and it’s like the battery is fully charged again . I check it with a volt meter and the battery has 12.56 volts I have also checked if it charging while running which it it is any ideas what come I’d be causing this would be really appreciated cheers

Re: Battery issue
Hi mate, it's either 1 of 2 things. I have exactly the same issue.
- starter motor issue, ie breaking down when too much heat gets to the coils.
- insufficient play in starter clutch. so when bike gets really hot, there is too much mechanical load for the little old starter motor.
Mine does it if I try and start it after a good thrashing, ie track days. anyway either way I think its a heat issue. Try another start motor??
