Yep, it looks like an AF1 swinging arm assembly (and wheel) flipped over to run on the opposite side.

Thanks Jim. It definately looks like it. I'm gonna look into what it takes including cost to do this mod. I think it looks awesome.

Jim, am I right in saying the Aprilla AF1 is a 125? Those pics you posted above made me think it was a bigger bike. I wonder how strong the swinger arm will be coming from a 125, if it'll be able to take the power from 400cc motor

Good luck finding one id imagine there quite thin on the ground, i do recall them haveing a pretty tough rotax engine better than the more recent stuff.

Why not fit a VFR swinger loads about and can be had cheap dont announce what its for on the wanted request as the purests on board will hammer you ;)

Yes mate, it's a 125. There were various different incarnations of the AF1 between 87 and 93 but I'm sure they use the same swinging arms but with various different wheels. That Bandit uses the set up from a 90-93 Futura.

Very difficult to fit the VFR swinger due to the upright shock position, frame would need major fettling.

I'm more interested in the high mount exhaust.

Would that be a one off pipe set up? Does anyone here have one or know where to get one?
