ZZR 400 N

Post by icequeen » Mon May 12, 2008 1:31 pm

Hello,

I'm the proud owner of a ZZR 400 N - (Madam) - Bought her two years ago and have enjoyed many a miles :D .

She is now however a tiny bit sick  - the fuel cable snapped the other day - I bought another one and fitted it myself.

I must have either bumped something or did something really bad because now she doesn't wanna start at all.

The mech says she has no compression at all - can all four go at once?

If so then I need another ZZR 400 N engine or the relevant parts to make her whole again - any idea where I can get these parts or the whole motor itself?

as far as im aware (and i may be wrong) the zzr600 engine bolts straight in, which is probably your easiest option as the engines are easier to get hold of.. more power too !

try giving barton motors in bath a ring, they mainly deal with kawasaki's and may well have either a 400 or 600 engine there.

Hi

It might be worth looking to see if you can pick up a ZZR 400 K (also given as the 400 D) engine.

if i remember right the 400 n is an 8valve SOHC motor, whereas the 400K is a 16v DOHC engine

I would assume the K series would slot straight in being as how its the same bike?

if im wrong them many apologies but it was a good idea! (well i thought so!)
