No way, i am very lucky.
The rotor on the crankshaft had cutted 1 of the 3 cables that come out from the stator.
The issue was very simply to identify once opened the carter.
I've fixed it and now the bike runs perfectly.
Even the battery, nearly dead returned to life. :geek:

Anyway, the ipothesis of my mechanist is: if the generator is broken, the flattening of your battery would be so fast that you couldnt even get home. Like 10-20 km. Not 200.
Well done on the repair.
So what did your mechanist say when you told him how you fixed it. ?

my mechanist sai that he had checked wiring only externally the carter and they was not interrupted and that is very uncommon that a rotor could cut wirings. But as he said, the bike has 9 previous owners, so maybe someone installed a new alternator and didnt checked the wirings route correctly.

No; You wrote the "mechanist" stated the bike would NOT run for more than 20 kilometers with a faulty generator so it could not be the generator causing the battery to be incorrectly charged.

Upon advice from the forum members you have found that all 3 phases need to operate and given information of how to check them. Once the generator was checked and repaired the battery is charged correctly.

The "mechanist" :wanker: gave you the incorrect information.!

do you prefer as background some crate of tiles or a ferrari?
