This is just a short introduction to all fellow bikers and forum members.

My name is Phil and I've worked for Adrian Flux Insurance Services for over 16 years now. In that time I've been employed in a number of different roles including underwriting, customer service and I am now the Customer Relations Manager. Adrian Flux is a specialist motor insurance broker with a motorcycle division called Bikesure. Some of you may have heard of us, only good things I hope.

If any of you Lads or Lasses on here have any general insurance queries, I'll be more than happy to try and help. Any advice will be totally impartial so please do not feel that I will be bias towards Adrian Flux / Bikesure.

Some of you may already have a policy through Adrian Flux / Bikesure. If this is the case, I'm here to assist with your existing policy. Any enquires, just give me a shout and I will have the matter looked into for you. A quick PM to me will surely be more convenient than having to make a phone call. If it is a more complex issue, don't worry, we will call you back when it's convenient with you.

If you would like a quotation from us, I will have someone call you with our best rate. Hopefully the best you'll get! I have no intention of being on this forum to "drum-up business". Hi phil welcome to the site.

Maybe you could explain the massive grey area which is insuring bikes with extensive modifications. some of the companys i spoke to seem'd happy to take very brief details of the mods yet wouldnt pay out for them in the event of a claim (pointless if you ask me) and some companys just stick their heads in the sand when asked about it.

Is it possible to insure modified bikes for what they are or are we stuck with these useless policys that the insurers will try to wiggle out of when its claim time?

i was and have been inssured with Adrian Flux for the last 5 years on my Peugeot, found them via a Forum and got 10% discount, and was the cheapest quote i had each year with all mods declared!

Different insurance companies handle modifications in different ways. We use insurers that will cover the modifications on a like for like basis. Other insurers may only replace the modification with a standard part.

Disclose all modifications and check on what basis the insurer is covering them. If your insurer is not happy with the modifications, you are probably wiht the wrong insurer.

We specialise in imports, customs and modified vehciles so are in a position to look for a policies that offers the right level of protection for the bike.

I'll be giving you a shout early next year when my renewal is due. My age and type of bikes make my premiums insane so I tend to shop around a lot.

Are there any limitations to your quotes (specific ages of riders...) and so on.

There are no obvious limitations, but we consider the whole risk profile and all the elements in it. So a £10,000 bike, ungaraged in the middle of London will either be a struggle, unacceptable to the insurers or an insane premiums.

Phil, not really relevant now, but do bikesure have any plans to emulate the old rider style policys that CN currently offer ?
i moved from bikesure last year after4 happy years only because CN offered a very flexible multi bike policy which was based on value, not cc risk as such, and was flexible adding one, removing one etc etc with no bike limits (i have 9 on it)
