Hi,
does an imported bike carry an extra loading on the premium?
Or is it only if its a 'grey' import - i.e. it was never officially imported to this country, therefore its rarer here and potential repair costs may get a bit silly?
Thanks

Hello,

Unfortunately there is no yes or not answer to that question.

There is no official load on the policy. I.e. You don't automatically get charged just because it's an import.

However, you may find that some grey imports are more expensive to insure than a similar UK model and some that may be cheaper - just depends on the bike grouping and the company that is quoting, a long with your personal risk details.

Hi,
May have been asked B4, sorry.
Just a question seeing if you do trackbike or racebike insurance.
This is to cover mainly fire damage or theft..?
Most companies either want a fortune.(not sure why?)
Or try to sell an offroad/road policy. (ie: trials/enduro)
Could you explain what cover would be suitable.
My bike will be used on private circuits only..
(**unless I go to the TT or Manx in future.! ;)
Thanks,
SteF...

Hi Stef,

Unfortunately we don't offer any tack/racebike cover I'm afraid.

Many tracks will offer cover available to purchase for the day if you contact them directly.

Kind regards,
Jordan
