FZR400R-R jetting
Just picked up this bike and it runs like a pig but it was a bargain. First issue I've found is pod filters on OEM carbs and they were loose. Carbs definitely need a clean as it hangs at around 3000rpm and won't settle back to idle. Just wanted some advice on what jets "should" be fitted with pods on OEM carbs. All my previous race bikes I fitted flatsides or retained the airbox so I've never experienced this setup.
If it's a no-no, does anyone have a 1WG airbox and rubbers/trumpets for sale?
Cheers

You hit the nail on the head or in the pods
You need an airbox. Rubbers are usually rock hard which is problably why it's got pods in the first place.
You could try ebay (of course) if it's a race bike then you could experiment with a 600 3he snorkel, they're bigger than the 400. I'm not sure which model your bike is and if the Genesis airbox is different to the 3en (to fit under the tank shroud

Re: FZR400R-R jetting
Thanks. Just to clarify, it's a 3EN2. I read somewhere that the 600 3HE box will fit with a little light modification and reducing of snorkel lengths. Has anyone done this? My 600 is a 4JH Foxeye so I can't "borrow" that one to experiment. The 3GM airbox is too wide, I've already tried.

The 4jh rubbers are bigger so it dosent seal onto the carbs. The 600 3he used the same carbs but rejetted for the 400.
