Fzr400 3en1 front fork options
Hi
I have an fzr400 3en1 I am restoring and need to know the options available for replacing the front forks.
i could have the original rusty ones rechromed and rebuilt but the cost makes it an option of replacing them with something more modern and suitable for my 16st frame
I plan on updating the brakes and master cylinder as well so maybe a front end is an option?
Budget wise the cheaper the better but max £500
Thanks
Chris

The later 3tj forks are good if you can find a decent pair . Think they are 2mm thicker than your originals. Also I find the standard 3tj brake calipers perfectly up to the job. Shouldn't be hard to do a complete stem swap . Not sure if the 3tj forks are slightly shorter than the 3en1 ones.

Look for a thundercat front end.
These are adjustable and 41mm so you need the tripple clamps, clipons, the wheel and discs as well. They have 100mm brake caliper spacings so you could use your own calipers to save money. This front end bolts straight in.
The 3tj forks are short and 43mm non adjustable. You could look at the early R6 but im not sure if bolts in or if the lock stops are similar
