[quote="Shimmiel"]Hi friends, my bike had the same problem. New rubbers on 3TJ can not be found. But the inlet pipes with FZR600 (3HE) have a similar diameter but a larger height. Will the intake rubbers from 3HE fit to 3TJ and whether the airbox rests in the fuel tank? What do you think? Thanks ;)[Yep, hit the same problem using 1wg inlets. Now gone back to 3tj ones which although show cracking on the mouths around the outside do look good still on the inside. Cant think of another way round this at the moment. Sorry if not much help.

I solved my problem. When I changed the spark plugs, I was distracted by a phone call and did not tighten them  . As a result, there were air leaks at idle and the engine was not working properly.

Hi all, just about given up on the 3tj carbs as keps missing.Put some rally clean 3en carbs on and running in all 4 at last.Only problem is it is ticking over at 4000rpm. Cant seem to turn it down even though some slack on pull cable and slides appear fully shut.Dont think choke is sticking either.

You could be running lean on the idle jets or the needles ??? That would make it run fast

Thanks Evil, I had wondered in the back of my mind about that. Ideally I need to get the original carbs sorted . One of the jets wont budge which I think is blocked. I wont give up at this stage even last case scenario sending the carbs to Allens to be refurbed. ps. finally found out that the bike is no.10 of the 100 UK models .Cheers.

Cool

You cant use a soldering toach (from Maplins) and heat the carb body around the jet then put an ice cube on the jet itself for some rapid cooling ??? I'm assuming this is a main other wise you need a small easyout

Thanks Evil, Its the jet sunken in next to the 2 main jets. Not easy to get to as the top is a bit chewed up. What's an 'easy out ' Chicken.
