I think Evil made a typo; 600 series chain is tractor spec.
I reckon he means 520; which with good quality chain will be ample and much lighter than 530.
530 chain and sprockets will weigh nearly twice as much as 520 and will rob a lot of power on a 600.

I thought the 600 used a 520 ???

Anyway - go with the 520 spec

so i am running into a little problem with the wires,

got it almost all figured out expect for the key switch, the 400rr has 4 wires coming out and the yzf 600 loom has 6 wires going to the key switch. How can i connect that so it all works?

also does the YZF600r have a manual spare fuel switch?

There's wiring diagrams in the document library of this site, the link is up at the very top of the page. Choose the wires and splice them together

But i still don't see the wires i need to connect. even a mate of mine that is a car electrician doesn't see.
the 600R wires are ok we know what what is but on the 400r there is this one wire we just can not find it (blue with a red line)

Just did a order on a 600r keys witch, things left to do. exhoust, tires, and the key switch.
almost ready.

You can build the two switches together fairly easily if you want to still use the original key

Got the bike up and running.
100bhp on the dyno.

FZR600r engine
thundercat carbs with TPS
thundercat loom with everything from the thundercat.

maybe not the correct area to post this.
A week later I put on my fairings to go out for a quick spin, and even before I could get out of my street where I live, I got hit by a car in back, car did a hit and run. I broke my back in 2 spots, still walking :). and ill have a 99% recovery. trying to find all the parts for the bike now that got destroyed or damaged.
Anyone have a top fairing piece as that one got almost completely destroyed when the bike hit the asphalt and a subframe.
