FZR Huge flatspot when reving

Post by adibtanah » Thu Jun 19, 2008 8:34 pm

I have stripped the bike then high pressure cleaned it. Got water in carbs. Stripped carbs, flushed with carb cleaner blew out with compressed air. Replaced carb manifold rubbers, spark plugs, coolent, fuel filter, engine oil, air filter. Turned Pilot screws out 2 1/2 turns as per the manual. Trying to sync carbs, but gauges readings are in the red, saying Valve timming out or Air comming in somewhere?? I can balance the carbs but the bike just won't rev when you open the throttle up. If you keep the throttle at about 4000RPM then crank it, it just wants to die as though it was taking in air or it was flooding?? The bike was fine before the water problem. Any help out there as Yamaha South Africa won't help as it is a grey import.
