Re: Where to get fairings ?
You have a FZR400R 3EN1 - I think there is a Chinese fairing kit for these but not sure and the stock might be different for your country.
Failing that the fairing lowers and top from a FZR600 3HE will fit - looks like you'll need the subframe and lights to match.

Re: Where to get fairings ?
You can get Chinese fairings for all of the FZR400s except the 3TJ (annoyingly!), here's a link-
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/parts4bike?_tr ... 7675.l2563
Don't forget to factor in import duty though, but even after that (around 26%) they're still good value (note I didn't say 'cheap'!) I love the Akai colour scheme. They're on the list of 'things I want for my 3EN2'

Re: Where to get fairings ?
You want a 3EN1 to look like a 3TJ2 SP ? Don't expect fairings to be a direct fit.....
BTW, the SP you've pictured isn't a 1989 bike, it's no earlier than 1990

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Re: Where to get fairings ?
The 3TJ fairings just won't fit - no way no how. But you could ask that company if they'll do a 3en1 kit with the SP colours, I'm sure they can do that.thunderace wrote:You want a 3EN1 to look like a 3TJ2 SP ? Don't expect fairings to be a direct fit.....

That's just a defeatist attitude Boris
The front fairings can be made to fit but it's a lot of work. He could use a TZ250 race seat unit to replicate the SP rear end.

Re: Where to get fairings ?
They'll do custom paint on the panels they make, so you could have a 3EN1 painted up like a 3TJ SP if you wanted, or a close approximation anyway given the difference in panel shapes.
I'm having some of those Akai fairings for my 3EN2 4/6...
