1WG OEM Replacement Rings - STD and +1.0
Hi All:
It took a tremendous amount of work, but I was able to convince the original OEM of piston rings, Riken, to make me a custom run of replacement rings for currently NLA parts for most Japanese motorcycles. I have currently been approved to make any sizes of Yamaha 1WG (FZR400), NL3 (Yamaha FZR250), and KAZ (Honda CBR250RR MC-22). I am waiting for some Kawasaki part numbers and, if any Suzuki parts might be of interest.
Here, in the FZR400 section, this really only applies to rings for Yamaha 1WG applications.
1): How many of you are out there that are hurting for rings? Even rings other than the Yamaha FZR400.
2): What are the most used sizes of rings; STD, +0.25, +0.50, +0.75, +1.00?
Looking forward to a response ASAP.

I would be interested in STD size 1WG rings (although at last check they were still available from Yamaha).

I will have rings, made by the original manufacturer Riken Piston Rings, available by the end of August for $60/Cylinder

I believe it is the same engine. Not sure how that Question fits with Yamaha FZR400RR Rings thoughEvilchicken0 wrote:Good to know :)
