Borrow a 3TJ Chain Slider ??

Post by Maelstrom » Wed Feb 15, 2017 5:30 am

Hi all,
I am looking for one of these in good condition that I can use to make a mould.
I can send it back to you with a new Polyurethane one, or just pay you for it.
It has to be in reasonable condition though.
Cheers
Blair

One of the nice forum members, Freefallfil, has sent me a used slider for medical experiment and I am quite sure we can use it to make the mould. So if it all goes well we will have new 3TJ sliders in Polyurethane in a few months.
Cheers

That's good news :)

Do you think you might do some carb rubbers ? the 3en and 3tj might be tricky because they the metal and rubber as one piece.
There's a race series over here that uses the FZ600 I know a lot of the racers look for carb rubbers for those and Yam don't make them anymore

I have been working on carb rubbers for a while but keep having problems because I am using FKM(Viton). I don't have any plans to do the metal and rubber versions. They might pop up in China one day.

Make them out of a nylon (POM ???) outer with Viton as the inner, that way the screw up clips won't squash the Viton out of shape.

This would be a very useful thing for most 3tj owners. Thanks for making the effort mate.
