Or just get a road legal quiet pipe for it while your pottering around with it. Or make a bodge it baffle?

If you fitted the exup it would also make it qureter at low revs ....

In these circumstances, most councils will install a noise meter in the complainants property.
The results of this record will note volume ,duration and time.
One usually receives a letter advising of such and how to prevent disturbance to others
Councils are not as easily led down garden paths by vindictive neighbours as they once were since a few have had countersuits filed against them.

I had a bit grief of a bloke who moved in and started parking over my drive even after been told the error of his ways...mysteriously his motor got wrecked and he started the "noisey neighbour" crap. The council never reported back after a 7 day noise meter test. He got a good shoeing in the w.m.club bogs.....which was nice for him.
