Need to identify an engine.

Anyone know which model this is?
Does it easily fit a 3tj frame?

I'm not saying you couldn't get it to fit,
But it would be a real headache.
You need a foxeye or thundercat motor.

As hunter says, its a whole lot of work as this is an R6 engine, not a FZR! The stacked gearbox takes up the space where your carbs are on the FZR so you would need to fabricate a tank and airbox = huge expense, time and a lot of hassle.

Thundercat engine slots straight in and you can use the FZR loom, easy job !

T'cat or Foxeye (FZR600R) is the engine you want. The cases are common and you can get plates (By Projection Components) for the head mounting. You need the carbs and downpipes, the loom and Foxeye cdi are a nice to have.
You want the Foxeye cdi because they didn't use a TPS. The TPS on the T'CAT carbs hits the frame.

I could have gone for this one if it wasn't for the 700 mile round trip.

I figure it's going to be best to buy a whole bike in the long run.
I'll keep looking.
Cheers

You don't need a lot of the bike and as I say the T'Cat cdi will return a fault code if there's no TPS
