I'm looking to find out what is a fair price for a secondhand 400rrsp rear shock??... I got no idea

£50 - bear in mind you can't find a bump stop so rebuilding it isn't much of an option. An R6 conversion comes in about £100 - 150 and is arguably a better shock.

No arguability about it Boris.

As you rightly explained to me over four years ago !

The std shock is a very basic item compared to the 06/7 R6 item......it is archaic by todays comparisons.

Even now that we have access to the likes of "Budget Boy" to refurb/refinish/respring these at a very competitive price, they are really only worth money to those whom place originality over function.

Since a couple of SP bikes have sold for large numbers the world and his says they're worth big bucks. I'm not so sure if that particular price is what it sold for ... image an online retailer selling for less :o :o :o :o ... but they do this to inflate their prices
