I've seen it done before on a race bike. There's a hole cut in the frame web where the coils are. There's a scoop that sits behind the radiator and pushes air up into the airbox.
I don't think it's a YEC part, if it was there would be part number moulded in and it would probably be black. I'd also expect flatslides and the air box to maybe enclose the carbs as well

So people ARE cutting that frame panel and not dying as a result? Mwhaahahahaahaha. That'll give me PLENTY of room for RAM air.

Pics would be awesome if you're up for it.

Very nice, I like the flatys!
How do you mount the carbs? I mean how do you tighten the hose clips to the carb rubbers?
I've got both a bdk and a kit copy ram air box that I've never used but can't see how to fix the carbs tightly.

I want to say BDK or someone else was listing using zipties instead of clamps on the rubbers as one option... I use boring stainless steel hose clamps from the local plumbing supply. With careful positioning of the clamp screws you can get on them with a socket and flex adapter to tighten them down even with the box in place.

Cable ties for me, 10 years and not one problem. Why make life hard and add weight :-)
