i will be dragging this SP out of my lockup on monday. i can get pics for you of the complete bike, so any areas you want to see in more detail let me know and i will get them as long as i don't have to strip the bike to get at them

Much appreciated. Thank you, a few shots of both clip ons, i want to see what both ends look like, also all cable routes, if standard. A few pics of any original stickers on the frame. Delta box, and any safety warning stickers. Indicators please, think these are different to standard 3tjs. A few full frame shots of each side of bike, also, please.

Thanks, man for doing this. Trying to get a few bits together before i start restoration, dont want to be standing about searching, waiting, trying to find bits!

Q, are you selling your sp?

No problem pal

Why am i selling ? never ridden a nice well oiled NC30 or 35 have you ? ;)

Seriously, it just doesn't push my buttons. i only ride on the road and the 30 / 35 IMO are far better road bikes and easier to live with.
Before anyone jumps on the high horse / brand snobbery, i have owned and lived with most 400's over the years (apart from a ZXR) and there are somethings i like about the FZR, it looks ace, but riding position is pretty awful, engine's "ok" and goes well enough, but it just doesn't push my buttons. It has scratched an itch but when it comes to a ride out, the SP's keys always seem to be left on the table and something else get's used that's more fun on the road (even my RD125LC lol)

Mine's sold. i think Tony's is too
without question there are alot of people who love these bikes (thank god for us) i can't help but wonder how many have ever ridden another 400 for any period of time ;)
It scratched an itch and its another bike ticked off the list.

I like the riding position but you have to tuck into the tank

Been tucked in for the last ten, twelve years. Ive kind of been deformed to fit these wee machines, chin stuck to the tank. Cant ride anything else! No point in changing now!

If yamaha released it again, brand new, would i buy one, oh yeh!
