Fork seals
Burst the fork seals on my 93 NC31 the other day, fooking potholes, question is what quantity of oil does it take per leg and what grade of oil is recommended.

Im in the process of doing the same...
As the irish lad here, what grade, quantity and perhaps make do you reccommend. Also fist time taking forks apart..... any tips or stuff to watch out for.

My mate did the forks on his `92 project big one and he got the info online, I'll ask him where then I'll reply here

when I replaced my seals I used 10w fork oil and 490ml in each leg. project big1.

So you saying all we need is 1Ltr and that should be enough for both.
Is there a mark or exact quantity as to how much needs to be filled coz I didnt find it in the manual, probably coz its a Russian translation. Is 490ml a quantity you got off the manual? Sory for all the questions but I'm trying to do thinks correctly

Russian service manual mention that 499sm3 needed.
The Japan service manual mention that 499cc needed.
So I think we will need 499 ml of oil to fill the correct amount,and yes 1Ltr should be enough for both.

I got my info from a Honda bike shop. Bike handles fine.
