Project: Superfour TLC
Bought my bike a couple of weeks back. It's in pretty good condition, but does need a bit of a tidy here and there. I've got next week off work, so if there's any interest, I'll update this thread a little with a few work in progress pics.
For the time being, how the bike is now, showing what work needs doing:
It won't be restored to the same extent as some of the other bikes I've had, as I intend to use my Superfour daily. But hopefully it'll look and go a little smarter once I've finished.

Not sure I can see what needs doing. Are you going to repaint the engine covers and brake calipers?
Polish the exhaust downpipes with a bit of autosol?
Good luck with your project!
Cheers, Mansie

Re: Project: Superfour TLC
I've already replaced the rear shocks for Hagon items - but I'm thinking of getting the standard rear shocks reconditioned in the meantime.
Quite a bit of TLC needed - overall, and not a lot's been caught on camera. Just a lick of paint here and there, new calipers, pads, powdercoated wheels, clock and headlight chrome work, new handlebars, switchgear....

The original rear shocks can be reconditioned, a guy up at Bury Hill got his SF rear shocks sorted but he had to send them away. Can't remember who does it but I can find out if you want?

Re: Project: Superfour TLC
Well, as the site's been down, and I've had some time off work, here's a few pics of the progress. The camera masks some imperfections - this is no where near to the level of my NC30, but I hope to tidy up the bike somewhat. It's going to be used daily after all, so it'll be pointless aiming for a constantly spotless finish.

Pretty much there now, couple of finishing touches today - hopefully I can ride in to work tomorrow on the new steed. Looking forward to scrubbing in the tyres in rush hour traffic...

A nice looking bike there Craig.
I suppose some of our superfour brothers might not be aware of your acute OCD issues...
It looked clean enough to me in the first pictures...but having seen your other bikes cleaning threads I am quie impressed already with this one!
nice shiny bezels on the clocks..a great touch
