It's a great bike StickShift! Bear in mind too, that I'm able to say that even though In the last 2 years I've had an FJR1300, an MT-01 and a CBR600RR7!! Why not ring your nearest dealership or log onto Honda Oz and request a brochure? Read through it, book a test-ride, and then send me the brochure :D

Can't believe the number of admirers this little bike attracts when you park up at a bike meeting. Rode about 300 miles today and killed about 3,000 flies. Just cleaned her up and took a pic before the sun went down.

I heard rumours that the BHP limit on 400's had been lifted in Japan so I was wondering if a new import would be restricted like the older imports. I'd love a 65-70hp 400 but can't justify buying a restricted one.

What BHP limit? There is a restrictor that limits top speed which kicks in at 180 KPH, but it doesn't affect BHP. BHP limits probably refer to the licence laws in japan..... see also http://www.400greybike.info/newforum/vi ... =10&t=8866" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;FTM wrote:I heard rumours that the BHP limit on 400's had been lifted in Japan so I was wondering if a new import would be restricted like the older imports. Re: CB400 Super Bol D'or --- 2009 --- Just ordered one
I've had a few greys over the years, my first a CBR400 AERO was unrestricted then in about 1988 the 58BHP limit came in, in the 90's the limit was dropped to about 54BHP. A 750 was restricted to 65BHP at the same time. The 112mph speed restrictor is easy to get around but the power-limiter was part of the CDI unit (at least on a VFR750 I had it was) and was almost impossible to get around. The 400's have stood still since the 80's only making 54hp when they should be putting out about 70-80hp now.superfourben wrote:What BHP limit? Hey Mad Dog,
Now that you've had the bike for a while I'd love to hear an indepth review. Especially compared to the other bikes you've ridden.
Handling
Acceleration
Fuel consumption
city vs highway riding
commuting vs touring
just wondering

Hi to all,
Can someone please who owns this beauty share some info that i need?
The info that i need has to do with the mirrors. Can someone please measure for me the fixing bolts distance of the mirrors? Center to center.
Thanks.
