FCR carb inlet rubbers & airboxes

Post by Yakama » Mon Jan 09, 2017 2:01 pm

I have located a set of the NLA inlet rubbers for FCR's. I am going to get them copied and am aiming to get 25 sets made of which I shall be keeping at least 5 sets and will make available the others.

So the question is would anyone be interested in a set of they were made?

Also I have the mold to make the FCR aibox too so can supply these also. Basically all you would need are the FCR's. Most common would be to find FZR400 or ZXR400 FCR's and have them respaced. I know where there is some FCR's for sale for those who are interested and dont have carbs

Nc29 but the spacing is the same so should fit nc23 too but I'm not sure the airbox would fit the nc23 I will need to check but you could run open carbs or foam filters

Well I have a NC23 and a set of FCR's... Not looked at them for a couple of years, so how will I know if I need these? I'm going to assume if I have inlet rubbers on there then I'm good? If not I'd be interested, will also be interested in the airbox if it fit. What sort of price point are we working towards?

Good work. I would like a set of the inlet rubbers (assuming they aren't a fortune to
make).

If you compare your fcrs to your std set you will see the spacing is different.

Price for the rubbers will be north of £100 but I won't know until I get a form quote from the company

Ok back to square one, now the company have seen the samples the quote for the mold alone was £5k so far too much so I will need to try and find another way

Have you tried speaking to Blair at Litek? - he did offer to look into making carb rubbers for the CB-1 but in the end we couldn't locate a decent set of originals and struggled to get enough pre-orders to make it viable so shelved the project.
