Air intake duct removal
I’ve seen a few bikes about without the intakes on ( frankly they’ve a bit naff and flimsy), but the frame always looks untidy with the mounts showing.
Has anyone cut them off or made a small alloy blanking panel to tidy up the frame?

Re: Air intake duct removal
I prefer them for that fat bike look although they are flimsy and a worry about replacing if damaged. I think you could make some blanking plates fairly easy out of some thin plate. I have wondered if they actually do anything. In theory they change the air pressure behind the carbs, i presume to rid that area of heat. Thats the theory anyway..
