LETS talk about Exhausts for 400s

I have experienced three exhaust so far for my Honda CBR 400.

1) Factory Honda Exhaust
2) Pipe WERX Exhaust
3) SP Engineering -the best can and the loudest and the lightest in weight

I want to know exhausts that other 400 owners have had....which have been the loudest? The one that gives the most power, the lightest in weight?

Go for a Japanese market system: Beet, Yoshimura, Moriwaki, etc for added cool points

I’ve had all three and the only one to go for is the Beet. The other two are mild steel and by now most are in a bad state that I have seen.

The beet titanium systems are a work of art, I have one on my nc29 trackbike

Hi Jim, as my Nc21 is being striped down and I'm unsure of the current exhaust is it good practice to replace whilst engine is out?
Appreciate your knowledge on this as later on it would be a pain.
Cheers Derek

Hi Derek, I've never owned at nc21 but I recall reading that it is very difficult to replace the exhaust with the engine in situ. Best to do it while you've got the motor out.

Has as been documented recently I have the GF racing set with a Beowulf stubby. I think they are really good and work much better than those cheapos you find on ebay. I may change my can as it is now looking a little scuffed.

I have a Full Aluminium Diashin system on my NC29 race bike that I only just got back!

Have the option of running a custom made link pipe if needed that my oldman made.
