Nc23 new fairings

Post by petrolhead19 » Tue Jan 17, 2012 4:12 pm

Hey guys, as a few of you know i rebuilt my nc23 and fault of my own i cracked the lugs off the side fairings then repaired them with plastex, the result was plastex didnt hold past 50mph so fairings flew off and smashed.

So i bought a new set on boxing day so here are the pics of what i got.
Im pleased with the finish its actually a better finish than the last set i got, also they sent heat pads which i didnt get last time, and they sent a blew screen which last time i got an orange one :S, also they sent some reflective strips not got a clue what they are for so will put pic up and you can let me know if you know what there for.
Aside from that they have sent me the wrong mudguard :(, not sure what bike its for what they sent me but was thinking if i could do something to actually use it.
Also i have noticed this time they have glued the lugs on, so i am going to reinforce them with plastic welding, im also going to give them a few coats of laquer because as i found out from the last set they flake pretty easy due to not having much paint on them.

yeah just had a look at pics of nsr250 mudguard and i think your right its identical.

Any one got a plan on how i could fit it? or is it gonna be impossible.

Anyone know were i can get the brackets that go on the forks to hold the mudguard? will have to be for an nsr250 think its for a mc18 model

If it is for this model and as usual I say double check. Info from NSR World I found the parts.

David Silver lists the brackets as 61101-KV3-700, alas only one in stock, you need two. Also not sure how you would fit them as they go around the fork, is there the right circumference and would they foul anything? £5.95 each before tax/post.

Edit...... just noticed these brackets fit to the forks..

Its ok doesnt matter now, i have opened a case with ebay and the seller had responded very quickly and is sending me out a new mudguard for nc23, also im complaining about the light surrounds being moulded onto the nose cone and sprayed over and im gonna try get a new nose cone and light surrounds out of them aswell :D lol.

So if anyone is after an nsr250 front mudguard brand new i have one :D make me an offer

to be honest mate, i think they look better with the headlight surround already on, i just recieved FG kit from skidmarx which came like that and its grew on me, maybe because my current clip in ones dont sit flush on my fairing :), you can always drill a hole and fit some nice ally or SS bolts to make it look attractive :)

Its not the fact that there moulded under the paint mate, its the fact on there ebay listing they show a picture of the surrounds separate lol, i like to get what i paid for and if it means i get some more free stuff along the way then so be it :D lmao.

They are already sending me the mudguard and i think there gonna send me the nose cone with surrounds separate :P, at least i will have spares lol
