Hey everyone,

I searched for an 35kw Tüv approved restrictor kit online but couldn't find anything.(for an nc23 1989)

(My dealer is also emailing people for this)

Have any of you ever heard of such thing for my bike?
Maybe GF?

Without an Tüv approved kit getting my bike on the road is gonna cost me more than double im afraid.
(Rules in the netherlands  )

I got a 47 bhp restrictor for my CBR 400 NC29 that went inside the carbs and then I had to remove them as they were messing up the bike.

You can buy restrictors on Ebay I would have thought

Thanks for your reply,

Yeah, i've seen them but the thing is that with a "Tüv" certified kit i only need to do a dyno run at the RDW(mot for the Netherlands).

without a certified kit i need to go there for a full baseline test and dyno run, then you can go home restrict your bike and after that you need to come in again for another full test + dyno run to get it 35kw on paper.

After that im probably broke because i think they aks +-150eu per hour its in.

But i knew this beforehand so its not that bad, its just that with a certified kit its a lot easy'er

Hello,

There is one for the CB1, which is identical to the CBR 400 RR. There is a Wikipedia article which prooves that. I went to my local TüV Office and asked the Engineers if i can use that one. They approved it and it got registered.

Hope i could Help you a little bit.

Kind regards,
RischQ

yea ok cool.....The netherlands sound alot more strict when it comes to these restrictions.....I just got a signed paper certificate from the mechanic who fitted them....but something funny happened to my CBR 400 after a few months of having it on. The restrictor kit was in my carbs and then it was not accelerating properly.

I then got my friend to remove them and it ran perfectly fine. I then had it unrestricted on my restricted licence for three years lol until I passed my unrestricted bike test LAST WEEK! LOLLL....anyway I'm not being funny with the law....that restrictor kit was harming my cbr so it had to come off.

Now I plan on putting nitrous on the CBR 400
