Thats brilliant. Welcome to the club. Lets hope the wife doesn't realise for a day or two anyway. Sounds like its a good one so get those pics up. 17000 miles on a 29 is nothing and if it just needs a new chain to look better then your on an immediate win situation for the fast approaching summer.
Haha! I didn't mean the chain needed replacing, it doesn't. I meant you wouldn't want to eat anything off the oily chain, that would be a bit icky

Not yet. It arrives this coming Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning, depending on his work load. Shuffling things around in the garage to make it fit!

Well the NC29's in the garage, behind the Street Twin and RVF, next to the half-rebuilt XS400 'project'. It looks as good as it did when I first saw it. Starts first press of the button and sounds spot-on, with a lovely growl from the DIC can (Graeme France stainless downpipes). I thought my wife hadn't seen it after 3 days until she suddenly said "I suppose you think I haven't noticed the extra bike in the garage?". I don't think I convinced her with the 'appreciating investment' story  Unbelievably I haven't been out on it yet simply because I haven't had time to insure it, hopefully I'll get a chance tomorrow.
One small negative observation, when parked next to my RVF I'm afraid it comes second in the looks department ;)

And before anyway mentions photos I haven't cracked the photo-posting thing, sorry.
