Re: A project
Mot sorted but the rear shock is not the correct one and has made the ride too hard for my liking.it appears it is off of a CBR600 but I've sourced a std one and will swap them over...another item to Ebay...

Re: A project
Looks like you're making a good job of resuscitating a bike that was near death. We need to keep these 400's on the road, so well done mate.

Re: A project
Shock replaced now,easier job than I thought,everything I do to it improves it's rideability..it was well (ab)used...
Just waiting for DVLA to get back to me concerning the registration error so although it's mot I'm unable to insure it.
Won't be long ...should get a reply this week...I hope...

Re: A project
Sorry about the late reply...all good apart from the fact that Doris(wind)pushed it over, slight screen damage....leaky water pump with a replacement sourced and soon to be sorted.
Some resolution on the registration..DVLA can be hard work..built 1990,imported 1997,log book 1987???...they admitted an error with the date(1987) so corrected it to a 1997 reg' ... LOL
I'll get some fresh pics up soon....cheers

Re: A project
Unfortunately due to long standing mx injuries I find myself having to offer this for sale.
I went out today and covered nearly 100 miles but the pain was too much. It's the usual landing on the palm scaphoid injury which comes into play in a prone/race position,I saw this before when I tried to ride a race cycle.I've offered it up at a reasonable price considering the work and what I've spent but I may consider keeping it if I can alleviate the issue, which Iam currently address in the gym...thanks.
