My battery has given up the ghost , (it was a cheapy!!!)
Can anyone give me some advice what I should get and where do I get one from?, the bike doesnt get a lot of use but was started regularly NC29 1991

YTX7L-BS. Varta are a good lead acid type and you should be able to pick one up for under £35. If you're splashing out, try £80 for a Lithium one from M&P.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

I can vouch for Varta agm as being brilliant but also a cheaper Lucas agm sounds and feels like it has a better CCA or Cold Cranking Amps than the Varta from my daily use. Starting just sounds more powerful in the Lucas.

In my battery drain post i mentioned I was using a Yuasa, i meant Varta but I have heard Yuasa are made in the same factory and are also good.

Just to 100% confirm the correct standard battery
for a gull arm nc29 is a ytx7l ?
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....
