Where to fit X-Ring on clutch lift on NC35?

hi all,
I just bought a set of gaskets, rings, o-rings, x-rings, etc. to replace all of them on my NC35 '94 (cf my other post on oil sump gasket).
However, I do not understand where to fit the 91301-ML0 X-Ring with the clutch lift, since there was no x-ring when I removed sprocket cover and clutch mecanism.
I have the Haynes manual but nothing about this x-ring (if you know where, please could you give me the page

Looking at the photo it appears it should sit over part number 8, possibly in the centre, hence the profile of part 8 in the pic.
