93' CB400SF Carb Rebuild Kits
Got a steal on a CB400 Super Four! Only issue... previous owner barely rode it. Took it to the mechanic and the carbs are going to need a rebuild. Not unexpected but what took me by surprise was the quote for the kit..... £200 and up to six weeks waiting for it to arrive.
Mechanic hasn't opened up the carbs yet to my knowledge so I am unsure the condition of the specific parts. Rebuilt the carbs on my last bike and all I needed to replace were the seals as everything else just needed a good clean.
What are peoples thoughts on this? Would I be crazy to try do it myself and replace just the seals using a cheaper kit? Or should I stump up the cash and take the train for the next six weeks?
