Only when being rolled forward or when when ridden? My nc30 has a squeak occasionally when rolled forward none when rolled backwards. Appears to be result of pads rubbing on the disc as the wheel rotates. Why it only happens in one direction and not the other no idea, maybe just the wear pattern on the pads or disc. Does not affect brakes so no longer worry about.
Likely due to a lack of leading edge on the pads. If you look at brand new pads, the edges normally have a slight chamfer. This disappears as the pads wear, leaving a square edge that can cause a squeal if the pads don't sit perfectly straight in the running grooves.
So I could try a change of pads. If I can't ignore it maybe I will.

Just drive faster & more often.. This will wear out the pads faster, Your bike will be happier for it, then you get to change them if still makes noise.

I tend to use the rear brake a lot more in the winter and wet weather. I find it helps steady the bike just before tipping in. Maybe I shouldn't treat my commute route like a race track 😂

I find it’s very difficult to ride these bikes in any way other than in ‘sports mode’. Modern bikes have settings for Race, Road, Rain, Sensible, Pottering etc. Ours are permanently set to Race!
I’m glad l have the Bonneville for those days when l want to switch to Pootling (different to Pottering). Although on an empty, twisting road it sometimes switches itself to Race (relative of course). Strange that.

I think they have their own brain. They seem to know instinctively when it's hoon time

I was out pootling on the Bonnie yesterday, thought I'd catch the last mild day before the predicted cold weather arrives. Stopped off at the Superbike Factory in Macclesfield. If you're passing it's worth a look. They literally have 1000's of used bikes. Most are less than 15 years old but they seem to have more from the '90's than I remember from my last visit. There were a few FireBlades, CBR600's, GSXR's and I saw a nice ZXR750 being prepped. They've also branched out into bike gear, some quality stuff.
