Dzus fasteners.

This question is really aimed at people that own, or have owned, both the NC35 and NC29. The Dzus fasteners that hold the side panels to the lower panels on both bikes appear to be very similar. The NC35 uses 4 in total, the NC29 has 6. They have different part numbers: NC35 is 64507 MN 4000. NC29 is 64507 KE 8700. On the David Silver website they are both described as 6 x 14. However they are listed at significantly different prices (expensive if you want a complete set), with the NC35 fasteners being a couple of pounds cheaper (each!).

So my question is are they the same part and/or are they interchangeable?

I did the obvious and checked with David Silver. Their reply says that because they don't have a picture of both (only the NC35 I think) they don't know.

Anyone out there have an answer?

My take is that the part number for the fasteners is 64507 and model code MN, or KE, are what makes the difference..

I'd risk it and buy the cheaper ones...

or have some more googling for that part prefix ref in other bikes - and get them if they are cheaper :)

Yeah, I'll waste a bit more time googling and then buy the cheaper ones
