NC24 - progressive front suspension springs
Hi,
Is anyone awared of progressive front suspension springs I could put into NC24 forks?
Googling for OEM part 51401ML0721 does not bring me any closer.
Could I use any other 80's Jap bike springs instead?
Is it possible that shop specialized in motorbike springs could find substitute based on dimensions of original springs?
BTW - anyone knows original spring size for NC24?
I'm getting ready to rebuild front suspension completely and need to build solid background before attempting.
On the other hand I think that even new original springs would do the job instead of 30 years old ones I use now...

Re: NC24 - progressive front suspension springs
You could start by measuring the spring free length to determine if they have reached the service limit. RG/ZG 371.4mm and RH/RJ/ZH 388.9mm according to the Haynes manual.

Re: NC24 - progressive front suspension springs
Thanks for feedback. Both Wirth and Hagon do not have NC24 listed on website, but will ask directly.
@magg - so far didn't know L and R springs differ and have different service limit. I based on CMSNL fiche's where both springs are identical (no 2 in link)
https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-vfr400r-198 ... x0KRYouDcs
But i'll give a check once forks dismantled.

Re: NC24 - progressive front suspension springs
Listing is different models, I am not familiar withe all VFR400 model types so gave you Haynes data for all models. Would expect from data, that springs are pairs of the same length.

RG/ZG is early NC21 and first naked NC21
RH/RJ/ZH is NC24 and later Naked NC21.
