Open / close throttle driveline shunt
Ever since I have had my NC30 it's been a little 'clunky' when initially opening or finally closing the throttle, especially noticeable at low speeds - not a massive problem most of the time, but sometimes a little annoying in traffic. Is this a normal NC30 'characteristic' or something that can be adjusted / tuned or repaired ?
Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions !

First thing that springs to mind is too much chain slack. Is your chain properly adjusted?

No rubber in the drive train like most road bikes means that it can be a little clunky/snatchy when on/off throttle is not perfectly smooth.

Re: Open / close throttle driveline shunt
could also be rough if the carbs are not set up quite right, having a properly dialed in low end does make a lot of difference on a biek without a cush-drive.. pilots could be too lean / rich (dirty or clogged / pilot screws open too much)
carbs out of balacne.
the lack of cush drive will make the grab a bit rough if your not smooth on the throttle.. if its jerky uneven it might be carb settings.

Re: Open / close throttle driveline shunt
Use a front sprocket with rubber damping will alleviate some of the issue. Pretty sure my original 92 nc30 had a rubber damped sprocket from brand new.
