RVF400 Grinding sound

Hey guys,

I've recently replaced my RVFs worn chain with a brand new D.I.D Gold X-Ring 525 chain (15-38 Sprockets) and after the first 50~km of riding, I started to hear a grinding sound upon acceleration (sound disappears on deceleration, or clutch rolling)

I noticed that my chain slider was worn, and that the chain was grinding on the swing-arm, easy fix, installed a new chain slider. I have checked, and the chain is not making contact with anything apart from the slider and sprockets, but some of the grinding sound still persists near the front sprocket area (right below me).

I was wondering if anyone had an idea as to what was happening?

Recap:

1. Accelerating makes grinding sound under rider near front sprocket area
2. Decelerating/rolling no sound is present
3. Sprockets and chain are new
4. Chain is not making any contact it's not meant to have

Thanks in advance

Are the bolts torqued up to what it says in the book, is the wheel alignment correct?
Try the easy stuff first

Wheel alignment can not be adjusted, and bolts are done up to spec
