NC35 shock change

Planning on swopping the shock on my NC35 soon. Never done this before and I'd like to leave the exhaust in place if possible. The Haynes says it can be done this way but I thought I'd see what you chaps think. So how much more difficult is it to remove and replace the shock with the exhaust in place or should I take it off?
If it makes any difference (and I can't see that it will) I'll be using an Abba stand.

Easyish. Did it about two years ago in a couple hours, I had to strap the bike up from the rafters so took a little while longer.

Easy peasy with abba stand no need to remove exhaust unlike my old vfr1200 entire lower fairing panels tank lifted just to access top mount bolt along with exhaust removal for bottom links .
Dead easy job would remove rear wheel to give more access for removal fitting a delight to work on compared to modern bikes.

Thanks for that chaps. Looks like the exhaust is staying where it is.
