Ahah! A quick google shows me you are correct sir! Just that they've fitted an nc30 shock to it :-)

Looks like NC30 swingarm judging by the ridge line along the left side of the swingarm itself. If this is indeed a NC35 frame, some interesting modifications must have been made to accommodate the NC30 swingarm.

As someone pointed out, pivot mount spacing is different; and pivot shaft diameter is also different. You might have problems with sprocket alignment too,

Hi, first step here is to look at the engine. Have two nc30 engines here, photos attached. The one that I was going to use though has some rust looking stuff down the ? Intake valves (where carbs attach), the other doesn’t but has some solid damage to the rhs and missing gearbox I believe.

Thoughts on which I should do or ways I can check whether the engine turns over okay etc before putting it in?ImageImageImage is the one I was planning to go in but concerned about the rust.

Spray some wd40 down the throats, pull the plugs and see if it spins over manually using a socket & wrench.

Star! Will give it a go and report back. I was told to do compression test and leak down testing however investigation says at 250 per tool plus another 75-100 for the 8mm adapter I’ll be paying more than I did for the project itself!

It looks like its been stored (badly) without sealing up the throats. After pulling all the plugs a squirt of OIL into the heads also will not
do you any harm. If the engine rotates then its at least worth spending some time on - IF its SEIZED (& its possible) then its a parts doner only..
