At the carburetor end of the choke cable the plastic outer on the cable should be held somwhere but i have absolutely no idea where so currently when i put the choke on it just flops around and doesnt pull the lever on the carbs

Re: Choke cable
Should be a bracket on the right front carby with a clamp that grabs the outer cover of the cable.

Re: Choke cable
Is the clamp a small brass coloured v shape? and is that right hand as if you are sat on the bike?

Re: Choke cable
It is a small bracket on the inner edge of the right front carby when sitting on the bike. Choke cable loops around the carby set and comes in from the right side at the front to link up with the choke lever. There is a clamp piece and set screw to hold the cable outer to the bracket, part # I think is 160035-ML7-004 but suspect obsolete although might help identify.
